12/7/2022 0 Comments Athlean x shoulderIt’s a great program and Jeff Cavaliere is constantly adding to it. I like to keep things interesting and also experiment.īut all in all, if you are on the fence about Athlean-X, don’t be. I put Athlean-X on the shelf for now and have moved to Isometric exercises along with Dynamic Tension type exercises that Charles Atlas used to teach. It is now June of 2013 when I write this and I have changed up my workouts once again. You are going to get good results on both programs if you put your mind to it. AX-2 has more muscle building to it than AX-1, which has more burst training, but I would definitely do AX-1 first. Since then I have used the AX-1 program 2 1/2 times and then went on to use AX-2. I originally poste this in July of 2012 on a different website. In the meantime, if you are currently using Athlean-X, leave me a comment below and tell me how it’s going for you. I will probably post more about my progress, so stay tuned and bookmark this site. So head on over there and grab your Athlean-X program. Other than that, a $15 exercise tubing, pull-up bar, and either an exercise ball or a bench, and you are good to go. I got mine a few weeks back, and all I can say is I wish I had a pair years ago. It will be a little expensive out of the gate, but they are worth every penny. Most of the program is built around dumbbells, and these are second to none. I would highly, highly recommend getting the Powerblock dumbbells. If you are like me, and no longer want to take the time to drive to and from the gym, you can work out at home. If you are going to a gym to workout, you will have all of the equipment you need. The videos are high quality, there is no guess work, and you will be reaching your goals in no time. It’s only $97 ( I highly recommend the upgraded package. It would have gotten me to my goals much, much quicker had it been around earlier. The Athlean-X program could have saved me many injuries. While you are sleeping and in your down time. After all, everybody knows this is where the real growth occurs. The program is laid out so that the proper rest and recovery occurs. Hence, I would often over train.īut not with Athlean-X. I had goals and I wanted to achieve them. I over taxed my body because I was driven. One of the problems I had when I was in my late teens and early 20′s was that I worked out too dang much. I can feel my body changing already, and I know this is going to continue right along through the whole program. Like I said, my background is in Exercise Science, and this program is the real deal. I have looked at all 12 weeks, watched the videos, and I am downright impressed. I am currently on week 2 of the initial 12 week program. I don’t have the time, and I don’t really want to be working out for an hour a day. I am a father, husband, and business owner. The workouts take too darn long, and the schedule is too many days out of the week. I had of course seen the P90X programs, and the Insanity workouts, but they never appealed to me.īecause of all the patients I have seen go on them, they always quit. I wanted the ripped, athletic muscle I had when I was at my peak. I wasn’t interested in getting big, bloated muscles. Athlean-X is that program and Jeff Cavaliere is that man. While I could have just as easily created a program myself, I wanted somebody else to show me what to do, and in what order. I didn’t mention my background, but I have a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, and my doctorate is in Chiropractic. Here was a guy who really knew what he was talking about. I came across Athlean-X and really liked what I saw. I missed being a highly explosive athlete, and I just looked skinnier than I wanted to. I am 33 years old and still in great shape, but I had the urge to get back into real training. In short, I was an athlete and I looked like one too.īut, when you go through 8 years to get your doctorate and have 3 kids in 3 years, life and your priorities start to change. I have always been fast, strong, and explosive.
